After that, 6-8 rows of lazy stitch and an openwork row will be knitted.
In the next row we will divide the stitches in the following way: 1 edge stitch, 42 stitches right front side, 2 stitches raglan line (it can be marked with a thread of contrasting color), 36 stitches sleeve, 2 stitches raglan line, 75 stitches on the back, 2 stitches raglan line, 36 stitches sleeve, 2 stitches raglan line, 42 stitches front left side.
4 rows of jersey point will be knitted, and in each row facing from both sides of the raglan line, 1 jeteu is made (addition of eyes). From the stitches reserved for the back part, first of all, 3 stitches are decreased at equal intervals.

Then, the basic model will be knitted 6 rows, adding in the front rows 1 jeteu from both sides of the raglan lines. Careful! On the front side, the basic pattern must be knitted symmetrically.
In row 7 of the basic model, the stitches are divided as follows: 1 edge stitch, 48 stitches right front side, 48 stitches sleeve, 84 back stitches, 48 stitches sleeve, 48 stitches left side front, 1 edge stitch.

The stitches for the sleeves are passed on the helper stitches, and the stitches reserved for the front and back parts will be knitted as a detail.
The diamonds in the basic pattern will be distributed like a chessboard.
After the first report (8 rows rhombus pattern) decreases will be made on the front sides to round the edges.

The decreases will be made after and before the edge stitch in every 2nd row (front row) like this: 1 stitch x 7 each, 2 stitches x 3 each, 3 stitches x 2 each.
The remaining eyes close.

For the sleeve: The basic model will be knitted 8 rows, 2 rows of lazy stitch, 1 rand junk, 2 rows of lazy stitch , after which the eyes close.

finishing: It is mounted on the andrea on the edge of the mesh work (even number). Knit 4 rows of jersey stitch, 1 rand junk, 4 rows of jersey stitch. Fold the knitted edge towards the back, until the openwork row and sew carefully without deforming the creases.

  1. To this, how to work the lazy point?
here “Row 1: 1 edge stitch, 4 front stitches, 1 life, 1 eye girl, 1 life, 4 front stitches, 1 purl stitch... at the end of the row 4 front stitches ( the purl stitch that is between 2 reports is not knitted), 1 edge stitch = 145 stitches.” I don't understand where it is repeated. it is valid for all rows.
    thanks a lot

  2. To this, Mihaela!
Lazy point = all front stitches in both front rows and purl rows.
As for the repetition turn, Sorry, I have omitted asterisks where necessary.
    Deci, that's right:
Row 1: 1 edge stitch, *4 front stitches, 1 life, 1 eye girl, 1 life, 4 front stitches, 1 purl stitch*... at the end of the row 4 front stitches, 1 edge stitch = 145 stitches.
The ratio between the asterisks will repeat. The row ends with 4 front stitches, 1 edge stitch.
    Bafta!

  3. to this

I have a problem starting with row 3 , the stitches are not symmetrical with those of row 1

  4. To this!
The description is ok. In row 3 you also have additions of stitches, maybe because of that.
I make a diagram of the knitting pattern when I only have a description of it. Try it too, to get an idea of how it should look.

  5. Hello , I really liked this bolero ( as otherwise all your models) but I stumbled. from row 2 the center of the leaf moves. I'm wrong somewhere or it's a typo ?
    thank you.

  6. To this, Adela!
I also posted the diagram of the 'leaf' model. Pay attention to the leaf in the middle, after and before the jete, 2 stitches will not be knitted together on the front. On their basis, the additions of stitches are made.
    Succes!

  7. I would really like a sweater like this, I kept beating my head to adapt it to a large size, for me (adult), without being unlocked. I don't have much experience in the field, so I didn't really succeed.

I would greatly benefit from the following information, of course only if there is and it doesn't mean a big effort for you:
    1. in general, I saw that the indication regarding the number of stitches states that a multiple of x plus the edge stitches is added
    2. between asterisks, are the stitches that are repeated to make the pattern

    Thank you very much!

  8. My darling
I congratulate you for your work and generosity!
Here I found exactly what I was looking for!
I found a similar model somewhere, with leaves but I didn't know how to do it “scot”, although there was also a diagram…..if you teach me how to do it,I send it to you, here or by email.

  9. Thank you very much for the appreciations.
I am waiting for an email with your pattern. I changed the contact address in the e-mail form and now you can also send pictures (as an attachment). Go in page the contact, fill in the form again where it says “Attached file”, choose the file, attach it, the you first e mail, after which I will contact you.

  10. Thank you very much for this model. I made it 30 years ago when my little girl was but I forgot it. I didn't remember at all and since I live in Spain I found something similar (only with the small leaves) but the Romanian model is much more beautiful. Thank you again.

  11. Good evening. I tried to make a sample with a single leaf, but I can't. I would like to make one for 6-8 months and I don't know how many stitches to put. I can't get the pattern out and I would be very grateful if you could tell me how many stitches are used for a leaf. I've done it and undone it several times and I still can't do it. When I reach the end of the row, the two stitches on the face are missing. I can't do better with the scheme either. If you had a video, I think it would be much easier. Please help me because I really like the model and I've been looking for it for a long time. Thank you in advance.

  12. Hi Roxana!
For a bolero of 6-8 months, 8 leaves would be needed. A leaf is composed of 9 stitches + 1 purl stitch between the leaves. You would need 81 stitches to begin with. Knit according to the description in the article.
If you knit according to the scheme in row 12, 14, 16, 18 you do not knit the 2 stitches together before and after the jete.
The additions of stitches are done on account of the jets in the center. Don't be afraid when you will have more eyes on Andrea.
Otherwise knit according to the description in the article. It's nothing complicated.
    Good luck!

  13. Thanks a lot. I will try again and see what I can do. it doesn't seem complicated, but every time I was missing stitches. I will tell you if I succeed.

  14. Hello. I CANNOT make the leaves in row 3, there are more stitches counted, 193 come out, not 169, please help me

  15. Knit it on 12 leaves?
The description is ok. You did not knit 2 stitches together on the front before and after the first jeteu in the pattern.
The additions of stitches are made on account of the jets in the middle of the leaf.
I explained more in the comments.

  16. Yes on 12 leaves ,what doesn't work for me is the lazy dot eye at the beginning and at the end of the leaf. sorry but I'm a beginner and I don't really know how

  17. Lazy point = the stitches are knitted purl in the front rows and in the purl rows. The lazy point is that back eye.
Follow the description. In rows 12, 14, 16, 18 do not knit the 2 stitches together facing the inside of the leaf, knit the stitches intended for the decrease as front stitches.

  18. I would like to do it for 6 years, how many stitches should I start it on?. If you can help me. Thanks

  19. To this, Mihaela!
    1. Measure the circumference from the base of the neck.
    2. with the yarn you want to make the bolero, knit a sample of 10 stitches. Measure it lengthwise and widthwise to find out how many stitches and rows fit in one cm.
    3. multiply the cm from the base of the neck by the number of stitches that return to 1 cm- 5 or 7 stitches.
Then divide the number of stitches by the ratio for the leaves. You must have an even number of leaves. The relationship would be something like this: Total number of stitches = 2 edge stitches+odd number of leaves x 10+9 (last leaf report).
If, for example, you have 141 stitches, divide them as follows:1 edge stitch, 13 leaves + the back eye between them (13×10)+9(leaf 14)+ 1 edge stitch.
I hope I was clear enough.
    Sport!

  20. Thanks, you are a great help to me. I also started making the bolero. When it's ready, I'll take a photo and post it so you can see how it turned out.

  21. I also started making the bolero, but on 61 eyes. All good until the 5th row where I can't see any points (I have 83 eyes), I messed up and started again but the same. You can also help me by telling me how the turn ends ?

  22. Knit the bolero on 6 leaves. The description is ok. You can knit according to the scheme.
The additions of stitches are made on the basis of the jets in the middle of the leaves.
In row 1 you will have 73 stitches, in row 3- 85, in row 5-97, in row 7-109 and row 9-121 stitches.
In the 11th row, the decreases begin, skip knitting the 2 stitches together facing the inside of the small leaf.
    See also the comments above.

  23. I also tried to do it and it didn't work . in the description it appears at R 3 and lazy point and back eye. is it one eye or two. I did R 1, but I don't give R3 anymore. si nu am mai iteles\ochiul dos intr doua rapoarte nu se tricoteaza\

  24. Hello, I would like to do the same for my little girl, he is three years old and I don't know how many stitches to put on. If you want to help me please.

  25. See the comments above. I gave explanations, Mrs. Mihaela, for a bolero for a 6-year-old child.

  26. To this! I want to knit the bolero for. my 7 year old daughter , but it doesn't come out of nowhere with my lazy eye . I add Andrea ?

  27. To this! I did and undone but I can't, to r3 where I have the lazy eye, the leaf comes out but if I make a lazy eye, multiply Andrea, I have too many stitches. Please, if you can help me!

  28. Hello,va rog din suflet sa-mi spuneți ce înseamnă \ochiul dos intre 2 rapoarte nu se tricoteaza\” report means leaf? and if I don't work that eye what do I do with it, I simply pass it to the other Andrea without work???? please clarify me from the bottom of my heart ,I admit that I am a beginner, it works for me. thousands of thanks

  29. Good evening!
Leaf = 4 front stitches, 1 life, 1 front eye, 1 life, 4 front stitches.
Each leaf is separated by 1 purl stitch. The exception is the last leaf in the row, after which the back stitch no longer follows but automatically the edge stitch.
    Succes!

  30. Good morning. Thank you very much for the explanations. I also want to make the combined dress which is great ,but I can't find quality thread in the trade, at least in Piatra Neamt, they are not the brands I see you using. I only find 2 threads ,3 low-quality brands that flake after 2 washes. I would really like to know where I can buy quality yarn. If you can help me,please give me some guidance in this regard. once again many thanks for everything. And a lot of patience with the beginners in this field.

  31. Search the net. An indication would be the density of the knit (x stitches x y rows = 10 x 10 cm).
For kids clothes, yarns containing merino wool are recommended, cotton, etc.

  32. Damage ! The Translation of the explanations of this pretty model are totally incomprehensible !!!
